Do Unclaimed Money Agents & Unclaimed Money Business have to be a Private Investigator to investigate a third person’s business or personal affairs, like Unclaimed Money?
Yes they do!!
Unclaimed money agents & unclaimed money business are not regulated in Australia to investigate people who have unclaimed money – You do have to be a Private Investigator with a License approved by your states Police Force.
Commercial Agents and Private Inquiry Agents Act 2004 states; It is actually an Offense to carry on business without a Master Licence if you are operating a business that investigates person’s.
(3) For the purposes of this section, a person carries on business in relation to an activity if, and only if, the person:
(a) carries out that activity for fee or reward, or
(b) represents that he or she is willing to carry out that activity for fee or reward,
Definitions; investigation of persons means any activity carried out by a person on behalf of a second person (not being his or her employer), being an activity that involves finding a third person or investigating a third person’s business or personal affairs.
